Students encourage travel for spring break

With spring break quickly approaching, Matthew Dina, senior global community science major, and several other students are beginning to plan trips, big and small, to take advantage of the week off.

Dina and Troy Schmidt, junior international studies major, are hitting the road along with their friends Jesse Chen, sophomore international studies major, and Walker Goodman, sophomore aviation flight major, this spring break to see Yosemite National Park and pedal back to California Baptist University via bike.

“Everyone should take advantage of the time to do something fun,” Dina said.

Schmidt said he has always wanted to go to Yosemite and is looking forward to being able to see the sights and get to know his friends better.

“This spring break, I’m going back to Mexico to spend time with my family, enjoy the food and friends and to have time to rest and get recharged to finish my last semester at CBU,” said Jesus Farias, senior civil engineering major.”
