Drive Benefits Orphanage
Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. students will be able to donate blood to the Blood for Missions with SunErgos International. The blood drive will help support their orphanages in Russia. The blood drawn will benefit the patients at USC University Hospital and USC Norris Cancer Hospital. Donors must be at least 17, 110 pounds and healthy on the day of the donation.

Race Equality Week
Oct. 11-17, 2010 is recognized as Race Equality Week. In celebration, The Human Relations Commission and the Riverside Public Library will hold an event with a staged reading of Pulitzer Prize-winning novel “To Kill a Mockingbird.” The event will be held on Oct. 13 with a reception at 4 p.m. and the reading at 5:00 p.m. at the Downtown Library at 3581 Mission Inn Ave. in Riverside. This event is free and open to the public.

Talking With A Professional
California Baptist University’s graphic design program, cbudesign, will host an event on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. featuring David Riley of David Riley Associates, in The Loft, James 332. David Riley will share his knowledge based on his participation in creating some well known brands for companies such as Universal Studios, Disneyland, Harvest, LA Fitness and CBU.
