5K RUN/WALK FOR BONAMINIO
The 5th Annual Riverside Raincross 5K Run/Walk at Historic Fairmount Park is being held by the City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. The Run/Walk will be Saturday, Feb. 19 from 7:30 – 10 a.m. at Fairmount Park, located at 2601 Fairmount Boulevard. The top three males and females in each Age division will receive awards. All youth will receive a participation award. The 5K run will start at 7:30 a.m. and the 1K Kids Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. The cost for the 5K run is $20 per person before February 4 and $25 per person after. The cost for the 1K kids fun run is $10 per person before February 4 and $15 per person after. The 5K is also being held in memory of officer Ryan Boniminio, who was killed in action last November.

SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Hume Lake Summer Camps are recruiting people to work for their summer 2011 staff. During the months of January and February, the camp will be in local areas to start interviewing potential employees. On Feb. 9, Hume Lake Summer Camp will be at California Baptist University to interview students. To schedule an interview, students are to call (559) 305-7773 or email at personnel@humelake.org.

BIOLOGY RESEARCH SEMINAR
Biology members are invited to attend CBU’s Department of Natural and Mathematical Sciences and Career Services’ biology seminar on Monday, Feb. 7. The event will be held from 4 -6 p.m. in the Copenbarger Presidential Dining Room. There will be a guest speaker from UC Riverside and student speakers from CBU who will discuss research opportunities in the area. Refreshments will be provided at this free event.
