Seek Week begins the week of Feb. 20. The Office of Spiritual Life invites students to attend chapel and enjoy this spring’s week devoted to hearing from God.
Speech and Debate
The speech and debate team took home 16 trophies at the Golden Cowboy tournament Feb. 10-12. Alexander Lamascus and Matthew Philips closed out tied for first place in the debate tournament on Friday. Other individual winners from the weekend include: Brianna Nelson (3 wins), David Tibbitts (3 wins), Victoria Pouncy (2 wins), Alexander Lamascus, Susanna Manthei and Marissa Padilla. Amanda Johnson, Richard Wickham and David Tibbitts were all finalists in Sunday’s tournament.
Downtown Farmer’s Market
Downtown Farmers Market on Feb. 18 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. features fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers on Main Street Riverside between Sixth and Fifth streets.
“Wings” showing at Mission Inn
The Friends of the Mission Inn will present “Wings,” a silent movie classic at the Mission Inn on Saturday Feb. 18 at 1 to 4:30 p.m. “Wings” was the winner of the first best-picture award and is now restored to high-definition format. Accompanying the film will be pipe organist Bob Salisbury. Cost of tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Mission Inn Museum or through the mail at friends of Mission Inn, PO Box 1546, Riverside 92502. The Marti Gras Gala

Rumors of the iPad 3 release are circling around cyberspace. PCmag.com said it is rumored to release in March and “may be slightly thicker than the latest model, but is likely to include a better camera.”
