The No. 2-seeded California Baptist University women’s basketball team advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament March 21 after a 77-69 victory over the University of West Florida in the quarterfinal matchup.
This will be the team’s second time to the Final Four in three seasons. During the 2014-15 season, the Lancers made it as far as the championship game but lost to the California University of Pennsylvania.
The Lancers will enter the semifinals riding a 32 game winning streak, putting them at a 35-2 record overall. The women will face Virginia Union University, who beat out Columbus State University 78-73 to punch their ticket to the semifinal match.
CBS Sports Network will broadcast the matchup between the two teams March 22 at 3:00 p.m. PST.
