The Grove Community Church held its annual Holiday Marketplace  Nov. 8, where a variety of vendors displayed and sold their seasonally themed crafts.

Shoppers wove in and out of booths to peruse the goods being sold.

Handmade items included pillows, clothes, decor and toys. Most of the goods were themed for winter and Christmas, along with many having pop culture themes featuring Disney characters and superheroes.

Along with craft booths, others were selling food such as chocolates, candy and caramel apples.

Daisy Hovey, owner of Daisy’s Corner, was at the Holiday Marketplace for the fourth consecutive year. She ran a booth containing Christmas and winter-themed items such as aprons, quilts, banners and other seasonal decor.

“I make everything,” Hovey said. “Just me and my sewing machine.”

Hovey brings her Redlandsbased business to six or seven craft events every fall, but she said she especially enjoyed the friendly and joyful atmosphere found at Grove Community Church’s annual event.

“I love it here,” Hovey said. “The customers are great. The vendors are great. The organizers are great. Everyone is happy.”
