California Baptist University’s Cross Country and Track programs are hosting the Lancer 5000 during the Homecoming weekend. The race will be held Feb. 12, with registration and bib pick-up starting at 6 a.m. and the race beginning at 8 a.m. The cost is $25 and $10 for CBU students. Proceeds from race will help fund the cross country and track programs.
BLACKBOARD 9
When students log into their InsideCBU account this semester, both Blackboard 6 and Blackboard 9 are available. Come fall 2011, however, Blackboard 9 will take its place. Blackboard 9 is being integrated into more classes including hybrid courses, as well the Online & Professional Studies (OPS) courses. Blackboard 9 is an upgraded version of Blackboard 6 with additions such as easier access to course documents as well as more concentrated links to Course Documents, Learning Activates and Student Resources.
VAN BUREN RAMP CLOSURE
The southbound Van Buren Blvd. ramp off of the 91 Freeway is to remain closed during the remainder of construction on the SR-91/Van Buren Blvd. Interchange project. This project is being implemented to created and better traffic flow by replacing the Van Buren Blvd. bridge with a six-lane bridge, which will reduce traffic congestion. New dual left-turn lanes onto the westbound ramp as well as an additional hook ramp will make it easier to vehicles to get to the SR-91. During construction and closure, the northbound on-ramp will remain open.
