A traffic accident at the intersection of Diana Avenue and Monroe Street killed a 50-year-old woman this afternoon, according to a Riverside police report.
The woman was transported to Parkview Community Hospital shortly after the accident around noon on Friday, Sept. 30.
According to Sgt. Ben Shafer in a written statement, the crash happened when a southbound Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck turned left in front of the woman’s northbound Honda Civic.
The truck also collided with a Jeep waiting to turn out of Diana Avenue, but no other injuries were reported.
As of late afternoon Friday, coroner’s officials have not released information on the woman killed by the collision.
