MacWorld 2013, held Jan. 31 – Feb. 2 in San Francisco, Calif., featured promising new technology for Apple fanatics.

The Moscone Center West’s Expo Hall had over 250 exhibition booths with an estimated 25,000 attendees.

Winning the Best of Show awards this year were the: Belkin Thunderstorm, Blue Nessie, iStopMotion2, Double Robotics Double, Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500, Henge Horizontal Dock, Reallusion CrazyTalk 7, Seagate Wireless Plus and Spicebox Mauz.

The Belkin Thunderstorm and Blue Nessie are designed to drastically improve audio quality. The Belkin Thunderstorm is an iPad case with built-in HiFi speakers and Blue Nessie is a USB-powered high quality microphone.

The Henge Horizontal Dock and Seagate Wireless Plus are designed to expand the capabilities of Apple products. The Henge Horizontal Dock is a desk item with six additional USB 3 ports, three mini-display ports, a FireWire 800 port, an Ethernet port, two audio-out jacks and an SD card slot. Seagate Wireless Plus is a 1 terabyte external hard drive that can stream three different high definition movies to three different devices simultaneously.

Many noteworthy people spoke at MacWorld’s tech talks, including: Ashton Kutcher and Josh Gad for their roles in the movie “jOBS,” Intel’s futurist Brian Johnson, Will.i.am, Fred Armisen and the Independent Film Channel cartoonists who created their newest animated comedy “Out There.”

In addition to the exciting technology, MacWorld 2013 had creative entertainment. Exist Elsewhere and Mister Loveless competed in a battle of the bands called iNDIE iNNOVATION, featuring Apple products in their sets. The winner, Exist Elsewhere, got to be the opening act for Little Feat at the MacWorld/iWorld BLAST party.

Exist Elsewhere and Mister Loveless were not the only ones to show off their creativity with Apple products. People from all over the world got to display their work in the iPhoneography Gallery and iPhone Film Festival.

For Apple fanatics, MacWorld 2013 was three days of fun with exciting tech talks, amazing new technology, entertainment and creativity from around the world.
